Rumor: Sledgehammer's Call of Duty Takes Place in Space, Future

correct me if i am wrong here but didn't the guys from Inifinity Ward (now respawn) say their next project was a sci fi? and bungie said there next project wasnt a sci fi? i cant remember where i read these things so i may be off.

Wow finally, someone actually steps out, innovates and does something different. You wonder why there's so much piracy out there. Keep making the same crap every year and hope someone spends 60$ for it?

Based on their last game (Dead Space before they left for Activision) I'm dubbing this Call of Dead Space.

I loved MW on PC, after the neutered version of MW2 on PC I briefly tried it out on 360, only to discover Call Of Duty has officially taken Halo's role as the worst, most obnoxious, and annoying online community comprised of 95% 13-17 year olds that have fouler mouths than anyone I've ever met and constantly talk about raping panda bears or other things.

Will be passing on Black Ops and Space Ops, and the next 15 versions of this game until they get it right on PC again.

According to Crytek's tech slides Sledgehammer has licensed CryEngine 3. The information was then removed in the final version of the presentation slides.

Call of Stargate

After the success of what is Leprechaun in Space, I expect great things from this.

I would actually really like this if true. a multimillion $ scifi fps with a (already established) solid multiplayer sounds pretty awesome.

I just hope they get the tone right.

Call of Duty: Next

gonna be released next christmas.

A different Call of Duty universe every three years, I think. They probably hope the constant swapping of time periods will help build franchises while keeping the "Call of Duty Day" each year.

I wouldn't mind a "realistic" space shooter in the CoD franchise. As long as I am not killing aliens. I am sick of killing monsters. Just killing Russians in space please.

Call of Trek: Redshirt Ops

Call of Duty 2142. Sounds good to me. Halo could use some good competition.

For some reason I'm getting this strange vibe about another game series. It's also a military shooter set in space. And there seems to be some giant ring that doubles as a super weapon. Weird.

My prediction "Oh wow, this automatic laser rifle has almost the same rate of fire, recoil, and power as an M4! ....Wait this is lame."
