Bejeweled 3 Announced, Due in December
by Alice O'Connor, Nov 01, 2010 9:30am PDTMore puzzling block-matching fun from PopCap is in on the way in the form of Bejewelled 3, announced today and described as "the first true sequel" since 2004's Bejeweled 2.
Along with "updated and expanded re-imaginings" of Bejeweled 2's four modes, 3 will offer four "all-new secret games" including 'Ice Storm' and 'Poker.' There's also a 'Quest' mode featuring minigames described as "clever hybrids of Bejeweled game-play with other classic game mechanics." More importantly, PC block-matchers will finally be treated to high-resolution graphics.
PopCap also boasts that the franchise has now sold more than 50 million units.
Bejeweled 3 will be released for download and in retail on December 7 at $19.95.
