by Xav de Matos, Oct 05, 2010 10:00am PDTEarth Defense Force 2017 was a title so over the top and comically buggy (some pun intended) that we quickly fell in love with it. Although the latest entry in the long-running series, Insect Armageddon, promises the same caliber of entertainment, we're wondering how it will hold up versus the latest crop of shooters.
So far, our interest in piqued; however, we're also aware that each level of the upcoming 2011 Xbox 360 and PS3 release will essentially boil down to the same gameplay found in these short videos ... spread over hours. Again and again. Either it will become tiresome or, like EDF 2017, it will be the most awesome thing ever.
