      go under the "services" tab in task manager and find the entries that have the same PID as the svchost.exe that's using all the CPU. this will tell you which service is causing the problem. you may have to go to View > Set Columns to display the PID on the processes tab

    is this windows 7 or vista? you can try this: next time you reboot, open up task manager -> processes... : wurt
