Not so, from what I've heard. The Playstation2 has two USB ports, I remember reading somewhere. Meaning, you can put a USb mouse, and a usb keyboard, and have your fun with UT and all the other cool games that will come outfor the platform.
Now, I could be wrong on the USb thing, but that's what I remember reading. It was some preview of the PS2 or something.
On a whim, I took out my MX300 sound card and put in an old Soundblaster AWE64... and I got around a 3 fps increase in Quake3.

I hope Valve expands on the plot in HL2, could be some interesting twists when you account for OpFor's plot and all. Uhhhh.... but anyway, yeah.

Scientists fuck around with dimensional portal(s).
They fuck up.
People die as aliens invade through the portal(s).
Troops/space marines come in to save the day, they die too.
You (the player) has to save the day by fighting through the battles on Earth and finally going through a portal to the alien's dimension (or Hell in Doom's case) and fighting the main baddie (Nilhilanth/Spider Mastermind/Romero's head-on-a-stick hiding behind a giant goat head).

despite what anyone says, i liked this game
fanntasy isnt my favorite type of game, but i love FPS's and this is a fun game for me to play, i liked the demo, and i plan on buying the full version when it comes out.
