Elemental: War of Magic Gets Launch Trailer and Intro Video

Developer and publisher Stardock has released a launch trailer and the introduction cinematic for its upcoming game, Elemental: War of Magic, which releases on August 24 at retail and via Impulse.

A limited edition of the game will also be available, which comes with a world guide exploring some of the lore of the game's world. Excerpts from this world guide can be found here and here.

Wow that trailer sucked so bad. They need to hire a new marketing person. I will never even consider buying this game after that first trailer. I want that minute of my life back.

What's up with the crappy graphics? I thought that was one of the advantages of turn based strategy, it uses less system resources so that you could have better graphics than if you were making a real time strategy game. I was sorely disappointed to see that dragon's breath attack.

I'm oddly intrigued by this game. At a low cost of 2.5 million and the promise of it running on low system specs, it's obvious why the graphics are rather simple. What I'm bothered by most of all is the use of Impulse as their digital distribution and platform. It looks fun though.
