Capcom Heroes Join Forces in Mega Man Universe for XBLA and PSN
by Xav de Matos, Jul 16, 2010 2:00pm PDTCapcom has officially revealed that Mega Man Universe -- a title that is no stranger to those following trademark registration -- is headed to the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. The announcement trailer (after the break, courtesy of GameSpot) showcases a trio of Capcom heroes -- including Mega Man, Street Fighter's Ryu and Arthur from the Ghosts & Goblins series -- battling against familiar enemies, suggesting the title will crossover between Capcom franchises.
Sadly, other details are vague, although producer Keiji Inafune seems rather excited, saying "This game will break the mold and challenge the conventional wisdom of what a Mega Man game can be. When fans finally get to see it, I believe they'll envision their most far-out Mega Man dreams coming true." The video promised "Your World. Megafied." Your guess is as good as ours.

It always scares me a little when developers are THIS confident in their own product, it can lead to carelessness. I sincerely hope it doesn't, but my most "far-out Mega Man dreams coming true" might be a stretch.
