The game will run the exact same basic process it has since Pokemon Blue first came out, start out in small town, go for a walk, be warned about the "dangers" of pokemon, acquire first Pokemon (from choice of 3) from a Professor, have to walk tt next town for menial task, returrn and get pokedex and poke balls, meet rival who gets the pokemon that has an advantage over yours.
Journey across a variety of towns (with Gyms) and villages (without gyms), capturing and trianing up pokemon which always include: Far too many water types, awesome looking pokemon that suck, or have fatal weaknesses, bird type pokemon that evolves into half-way decent fighter, crappy bug pokemon you have to ditch after level 30, rock/ground pokemon that always have high defense, but crap special defence, etc
You capture Pokemon who basically suck, but you need to teach various moves that all suck (apart from surf) just so you can continue past obstacles)
The 4th (or so) Gym will be empty, you have to return later on after completing the 6th (or so)
The sprites may change, but the gameplay is SOOO stuck in a rut, e very "new" game comes out that is exactly the same as all the previous ones...they are ALL remakes of the first game.

This is the direction that Pokemon has needed to take for a long time, it had begun all story with no actual Pokemon battles. Hopefully, this trend will infect the rest of the mobile market which has been known for sacrificing easy-to-pick-up gameplay for long and rich narratives.
