MLB 10: The Show Preorders Get Six Free Classic Stadiums
by Jeff Mattas, Jan 25, 2010 3:50pm PSTDownloadable pre-order incentives continue to be a theme this year. This time it's Sony's upcoming MLB 10: The Show. The official PlayStation blog has announced that a collection of six classic baseball parks will be a free unlock for gamers who pre-order the PS3 version of the game from selected retailers.
Pre-orders of MLB 10: The Show will come with a voucher code to use on the PlayStation Network for these classic stadiums: Shibe Park, Forbes Field, the Polo Grounds, Crosley Field, St. Louis' Sportsman's Park, and Washington, D.C.'s Griffith Stadium. Before you rush out and reserve your copy, be forewarned that the Classic Stadium Pack will only be available for the PS3 version and not its PSP and PS2 counterparts.
The year's entry also marks the return of the Home Run Derby gameplay mode, and adds catcher to the roster of playable positions for The Road to the Show mode, in which players create an athlete and play them from their humble beginnings to super-sports-stardom.
MLB 10: The Show comes out on March 2nd for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, and Sony PSP on the same day that rival 2K Sport's MLB 2K10 is released on multiple platforms.
