Morning Discussion

If you haven't seen it already, Shacker CrustaR's article about the development of his Doom 3 mod Zombie Slayer is an interesting read.

Secondly, wizard fans simply must check out the demo for Wizard Land. There are a few twists on the colour-matching puzzler formula but wizard fans will of course be more interested in Wizard Land's wizard content. My friends, I'm glad to say it's not just a snappy name and excuse for some totally wizard wizard art--there is a wizard who cheers and offers words of encouragement in a wizardly way. Wizard Land, then--wizard.

I have no interest in mod making but I read your article nonetheless because I was always interested in what goes into the process. Fantastic article, very informative and entertaining read! I cannot imagine the amount of work you put into the mod, even though you tried to explain it, two years is an amazing achievement for what you've done. I hope you feel proud of your work, because you deserve it. I don't have Doom 3 (I'm a wuss with scary games) otherwise I'd definitely check Zombie Slayer out.

Thank you, sir! I originally completed the mod as sort of an application to try to get into a game company, but after much thought, I don't really want to work in the game industry, and I don't think my skills would be applicable anyway.

I had a lot of fun making the mod despite that fact. I would go crazy if I didn't have some sort of constructive hobby.

The amount of work put into that mod was amazing. I mean, I knew it took a lot of time but the sheer amount of things that he had to figure out and code and create was beyond what I thought something like that would take. Very impressive.

Damn thorough job on this I have to say. I'm impressed with the coding of the lip-sync. Would you be interested in compiling a snowshader for source engine, so we can use that in our L4D2 mod? I can't figure it out, I just managed to write the shader :(
