Darksiders 360 Screen-Tearing Fix in the Works
"It's something that's really not a difficult fix for us and so we're going to implement a patch to resolve the problem. We're fairly certain it'll happen really soon so look out for it."
Screen-tearing occurs when more than one frame is shown on the screen at the same time, split unattractively by horizontal seams, as Wikipedia helpfully illustrates. The PlayStation 3 edition is reportedly also affected by tearing but to a far lesser extent.
Darksiders was released earlier this week for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 to good reviews, though some rated the 360 edition lower for issues such as the tearing.

Tearing on PS3 hasn't bugged me in the slightest on the PS3 version, and I ALWAYS play with v-sync enabled on PC games.
This game is fantastic, a must-buy.-

When the game starts drawing a new frame on the screen before the last one has been fully displayed. You end up with momentary horizontal tears in the screen between frames when you have a lot of animation going on.
V-sync forces the game to only draw a new frame in synch with the TV's refresh rate, so you never get screen tears. It adds a few ms of additional latency to the controls however.

Would a Progressive setting fix this at all? I know interlace is when a frame is split and coming in from opposite sides, so I would think there is a possibility that Progressive setting's might improve this problem but I don't know for sure. If anyone want to try it at 720P and let me know your results.
