Silent Hill Filmmakers Sign Up for Sequel

The screenwriter and producer behind the first Silent Hill film adaptation are on board for a follow-up, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Scribe Roger Avary and producer Samuel Hadida are both signed on the sequel project, which will begin shooting sometime next year.

The original film was largely panned by critics, but made over $97 million in worldwide box office sales on a production budget of $50 million, according to BoxOfficeMojo.

First movie started as something a bit creepy, and then into religion, and then hentai.
What can we expect from the second movie... I dunno... how about a story where the babe is looking for her husband in silent hill, only to wake up having pillows fights with ET, and maybe some goro? I wonder if pyramid will actually do something pornographic like in SH2...

SH scared the ever living shit out of my fiancee and I loved it for that. If I left the room to goto the bathroom or do something else she would start crying or get real upset because she was scared to death. She frightens easily so I will enjoy taking her to the movie theater when SH2 comes out and see if she cries her eyes out there.

Oh please no. I think I might be the only one who absolutely hated the first one. Not only the confusing cliche story but also the ending.

Can somebody explain to me how that girl got a daughter with 9 years and why the girl at the end was something like 30 or older but her daughter was 9 too? I don't remember it exactly, I might be wrong on the question because I don't remember how it was really but I know that I came out of the movie and where like "..wtf". The ending ruined the movie for me as well.

Great news - the first, while overall I felt was quite a letdown, still managed to pull off quite a few aspects from the source material effectively. Also, the skin rip scene alone made the movie worth watching.
