I read somewhere that the game is actually very far along in development, so why does every piece of media released look like ass?

the ONE deviation from star wars lore i was hoping for is that someone would slip some kind of an aiming device into those worthless projectile weapons. why in the hell can't those weapons land more than one shot in a hundred on their target?
