Morning Squidussion
by Alice O'Connor, Jul 14, 2009 6:50am PDTThere's a special chipper energy floating around the Shacknews virtual office this morning, the kind of energy that can only be channelled through cephalopods.
Squid and octopodes are of course the stars of the class, and even cuttlefish get a little screen time, but the poor nautilus is all too often forgotten. Few believe she was in that graduating class all those millions of years ago as her classmates have changed so much since then, but she was there alright. Secured tight inside a beautiful shell, with cold uncaring eyes and dozens of tentacles, she's my kind of cephalopod.

And there is a lot of auto aim in Halo MP, moreso than any other shooter I've played and the sucky part is you can't disable it like some other games or it's not SP only, etc. They try to hide it and make it seem natural, but it's there and even the pros exploit it as much as they can.
Off-topic anyway because I'm quite positive there is none of that in BF1943, it's just something I remembered after Halo was mentioned. I know I wouldn't have got some of the crazy mid-air spartan laser kills without the generous auto-aim, but I'm pretty sure every weapon in that game has varying degrees of assist, I think distance is also a big factor.
