Morning Squidussion
by Alice O'Connor, Jul 14, 2009 6:50am PDTThere's a special chipper energy floating around the Shacknews virtual office this morning, the kind of energy that can only be channelled through cephalopods.
Squid and octopodes are of course the stars of the class, and even cuttlefish get a little screen time, but the poor nautilus is all too often forgotten. Few believe she was in that graduating class all those millions of years ago as her classmates have changed so much since then, but she was there alright. Secured tight inside a beautiful shell, with cold uncaring eyes and dozens of tentacles, she's my kind of cephalopod.

So I played through act 4 last night! It was fun, but I didn't feel like it was omg best ever like some people. I'm assuming it gets so much love since it's basically a remake of MGS1, with all the nostalgia and revisiting of locations and then awesome mechwarrior fighting.. I think I would've liked act 4 better if they weren't trying to hard to make me nostalgic , I'm already annoyed at how much everyone knows everyone and did this or that, it's boring and lame. Oh, and the way that half the most memorable scenes from the game get reenacted, especially forcing the jack as frank issue, yes I get it raiden is sort of like grey fox now! At the end of act 4, the mech fight was cool, and makes me want that new mechwarrior game. It was a nice moment since we've always fought these things but never gotten to drive one, good call there.
So I'll probably finish act 5 tonight, since there can't be much left and the acts have been really short so far.
