Morning Squidussion

There's a special chipper energy floating around the Shacknews virtual office this morning, the kind of energy that can only be channelled through cephalopods.

Squid and octopodes are of course the stars of the class, and even cuttlefish get a little screen time, but the poor nautilus is all too often forgotten. Few believe she was in that graduating class all those millions of years ago as her classmates have changed so much since then, but she was there alright. Secured tight inside a beautiful shell, with cold uncaring eyes and dozens of tentacles, she's my kind of cephalopod.

      I think the console would need to launch with it as a standard controller in order for it to really work, and honestly I don't think the demand is there to warrant these console manufacturer's attention. Believe me, I would love a controller like that on consoles and for game makers to be able to take advantage of it, but I don't really see it becoming a reality. I really see the motion sensing stuff like what's in the Wii to become prevalent in FPS games before the trackball stuff. Oh well :(
