Morning Discussion: The Chimbley Sweep
It's always interesting to see what John Carmack has to say, and his recent interview regarding the iPhone and Doom Resurrection is no exception. I went ahead and bought Doom Resurrection on my iPhone, and I have to say, the tilt controls work surprisingly well. I'm actually enjoying it, which is more than I expect from most tilt-based games.
Graphics are pretty snazzy too, shooting zombies just feels right, and there's even some humor and charm courtesy of your companion robot. I dare say it may be worth the $10.

Of course, MD 5 minutes after I post...
Hey Shack !
I'm wondering... The game setting thread got me thinking: Is there a name specifically for the NOLF 1/2 setting ? Its the spy 1950s-1960s theme, but its more specific than that, with the bright colors, wacky dresses, music, etc...
here are some screenshots and images (from OSS 117 which has this setting too). I'm a complete sucker for this setting, and I can't get enough of it. I keep replaying those games and rewatching that movie.

Also Evil Genius
so is the name just "1960s spy movies with kinda flower power vibe/macho vibe" ?-
I need to see this movie and this is my new desktop http://images.themoviedb.org/backdrops/29048/oss117riofan1.jpg
I think if I had to put a name to it it would be 1960's mod style maybe? I'm not sure. -
