Morning Squidussion
by Alice O'Connor, Jun 23, 2009 7:00am PDTEveryone welcome Nick back from his unusually busy vacation. The poor soul just wanted some rest and relaxation, but no matter where he went--the Orient express, an English manor house, New York, a sleepy Maine fishing village--murders and mysteries were abound. He ended up spending his time dashing around questioning suspects and searching for clues rather than burning to a crisp and wearing straw hats daubed with amusing slogans as he should have been. Bless his little white cotton socks.

"This is how in a simple way you can find out if it's a gamer you want to play with. Ask them if they have a Wii. If they say yes, get the f*** out of there."

Nintendo does try new things by the way, the Wii and DS were both gambles, Pikmin and Wii Sports and Wii Fit and a whole lot of other games they make are constantly exploring new territories.
You might not enjoy the improvements in Galaxy but don't dismiss them as though they aren't there or aren't significant for a large number of gamers. Don't pretend that the games you play aren't incremental improvements either; Kotor2 is a great example because it is largely the same where gameplay is concerned yet some of the non-gameplay related items struck a chord with you. That's perfectly fine but you can't be fine with Kotor2 and then say that Galaxy is crap and except people to accept this as some sort of objective fact. The gravity gimmick is no more a gimmick than character relations in Kotor2.
