Konami Brings Contra to the Wii with Contra ReBirth

Contra sidescrolling action is soon coming to the Wii in Japan with Contra ReBirth, Konami announced today on the game's website.

As a new but faithful Contra title, the WiiWare title will sport two-player co-op, though online functionality was not mentioned. A few tiny shots of the game were also posted, viewable below.

The downloadable game will be released in Japan on May 12 for 1000 Wii Points ($10). A North American release has not yet been announced.

  if it wasn't hard the replayability would be short. I enjoyed the challenge, you actually had to be develop a lot of skill to beat the bosses (consecutively too). I dont like games beaten purely on time spent.
