Really, I just played an hour or two Resident Evil 5, co-created and tested a Peggle drinking game, cleaned the apartment, watched some Wire, and read a few chapters of Snow Crash. The rest of the time, I was either sleeping or doing something here.
There were also about five minutes spend on a hammock. Hammock weather, at last!
On the plus side, um, I've got another chance at the weekend here in a couple days?
So, I signed up for a trial account and ended up joining some random corp down in Gallente territory, but I feel like I'm floating around aimlessly waiting for my skills to increase. Is there a guide out there that would get me a good taste of everything and explain to me the basics. (I still have no idea what happens if I die...But I guess that's a good thing).

You can pvp in pretty much anything. Most newbies start in a tackling frigate: holding an enemy ship in place while a bigger friend beats the ever-living shit out of it. The only rule in pvp is that you absolutely have to be able to replace whatever ship you're flying.
