Command & Conquer Generals Anniversary Celebrated with Free Controversial Mission
by Nick Breckon, Feb 27, 2009 10:31am PSTTo celebrate the six year anniversary of the release of Command & Conquer Generals, EA LA has released a "controversial" mission for the title.
The free mission, titled "Black Sheep," was originally intended to be the third mission in the game's Global Liberation Army campaign, but proved to be too edgy for EA to include in the final release.
Says EA of the level:
...Players were given command of the Toxin Tractor, a slow-going farm vehicle modified to spray a deadly corrosive agent, and ordered to eliminate a town that had been "corrupted beyond salvation" by the USA's propaganda. While the mission was ultimately removed from Generals, the Toxin Tractor was available in other campaign missions, as well as in multiplayer and skirmish modes.
Head to the official Command & Conquer site to cleanse the corruption.

Generals was the last enjoyable CnC game - RA3, CnC3, were both sub-standard in comparison (imo).

Please make with updated graphics! Please!
But the setting of the game has discomforted me a little mainly because it has "Command and Conquer" in the title. Another game 'Act of War' I didn't feel the same even though it was a sort of similar setting imo. I guess it was the use of a C&C title on something that had little to do with the classic games.
