    as tempting as it is to agree with you im gonna say no. they ARE big enough to take their time. vista didn't take off which is kinda shitty for them, but windows 7 beta has demonstrated that they still know what they're doing. their dominance may be on the way out but its still very evident. think of how many shops run XP. its obscene.
    
    i think they are getting on the standards bandwagon too, w/CSS, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Docx , jquery, etc. they are such a behemoth they are going nowhere.
