  I always felt like a lot of the perception of Vista being a complete failure and buggy and terrible came from the tech media. I remember all the tech podcasts like the CNET ones and Leo LaPorte and Revision 3 hammered it mercilessly in between iPhone stories.
  
  I can accept that they are all happy Mac users, but it all seemed very one-sided and their anecdotal evidence did not seem to match my experiences or those of others.
  
  Every time Vista was brought up they'd sink the claws in because they'd tried putting of on an old laptop and there were no drivers and it would crash and Windows had lost and OSX was obviously the only way to go.
  
  I used to like the Twit and Diggnation podcasts but I had to stop listening to them because of it.
