      a large part of the draw, for me anyway, is that there isn't any additional stuff in it. it's not like facebook which has status updates (which are essentially the same thing) but also friends lists and photos and all sorts of other junk that I never use. twitter is just people saying stuff. people post about their blog updates and brief opinions on games and stuff. it's very simple and straightforward and I like that. I don't follow anyone who posts "brb pooping" or anything like that.
