Dragon Age Trailer: Fellowship of the Wardens

BioWare wants you to get pumped up for its upcoming fantasy RPG Dragon Age: Origins after watching this new trailer. For my part, I was mostly left wondering whether Frodo would be in this one too.

Dragon Age: Origins set for a simultaneous PC and console release between October 1 and December 31.

I dunno...I was super excited for this game a couple of years ago, but now it does seem rather generic.

It seems generic due to our own justified cynicism, but we all know BioWare will knock this out of the ballpark. I'm excited.

Maybe its just me - but I think it looks badass.

I dont understand why everyone is saying it looks generic. Granted I've seen much better trailers oiut of Bioware that sell their games better - but theres nothing generic or average about this game in my eyes.

I'm pumped.

looking forward to this quite a bit, a bit like reliving the past, in the future. back when games were about stories and quality, rather than trying to be the next WoW or Halo drivel derivative.

And yet if they called it Baldur's Gate 3 we'd be blowing our loads.

I'm interested in seeing how this goes, it looks very traditional (ie Baldurs Gate-ish) to me, which is a good thing. My only concern at the moment is it's also being developed for consoles. I hope this has absolutely no bearing on the PC versions development. It'll be fine if this is the case.

Yeah, it seems like I should be excited for this game but it's just so "been there, done that". I just want to tell the marketing guys that "ok, we get it. You've watched Lord of the Rings a bunch of times and apparently loved it way too much". Like they don't realize that there is other fantasy out there besides Tolkien. For once I wish the actual devs were in charge of marketing this thing.

I'm concerned about it being pummeled by the console nerf bat. Most (not all) cross platform titles are draining the fun out of whats unique about PC gaming. PCs have left consoles behind again. Its time for some devs who are willing to take a chance on PC exclusives to take advantage of the PCs superior hardware and controls. How about a new Mechwarrior or Tie Fighter/X-Wing to start. ;)
