Batman: Arkham Asylum Nets Mark Hamill, New Screenshots

The upcoming release of Batman: Arkham Asylum will feature the vocal talents of Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy, publishers Eidos and Warner Bros confirmed today.

Best known as Star Wars' Luke Skywalker, Hamill will lend his voice to perennial villain The Joker, while Conroy will be voicing the dark knight himself. Both are reprising roles they've filled in numerous other animated Batman projects.

Developed by Urban Chaos: Riot Response veteran Rocksteady Games, the third-person action-detective game will arrive on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 next summer.

Mark Hamill has done the voice of Joker before. Taken from Wikipedia:
"He voiced the Joker in a few Batman-themed video games, notably Batman Vengeance and the Sega CD version of The Adventures of Batman & Robin."

OMG, this is basically the cast of Batman The Animated Series. Hamill did a magnificent Joker for that, and Conrad is great as the Bats.

I love that they got the B:TAS cast back for this. But I really hate the way the game looks. Batman looks like a fat steroid-user. And everything I've seen only shows him going around punching people. Like an third person brawler.

I would love to see Batman in a thriving cityscape like what you see in GTA IV.
