F.E.A.R. 2 Goes Uncensored in Australia
"After considering extensive submissions and demonstrations of game play across all levels, the Review Board concluded that the level of violence in the computer game, whilst strong, could be accommodated within the MA 15+ classification," noted acting review board convenor Trevor Griffin, according to Games On Net.
"We always believed in the merits of the game as an MA 15+ title, and we went in and argued the game on its merits," added publisher Warner Bros. "We're really really pleased that they came up with the decision that they did."
Due out on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin is slated to hit Australia and North America simultaneously come February 10, 2009.

"And the few dollars we slipped under the table didn't hurt either"
No, seriously, just from looking at those screenshots I don't see how our schizophrenic classification board would pass it off as MA15+ based on "merits".
We need an R rating.
I wish all those crazies that end up going haywire after playing violent video games would at least do something useful and go hunt down Michael Atkinson.-

While the OFLC is nowhere near as corrupt as their American counterpart, they are disgruntled about certain things. A few kind words here and there, a nice lunch on the water, where between mouthfuls of delicious dishes from world renowned chefs, the rating of the game is discussed and the board is convinced.
