Guys, I'm about to reformat to Vista Ultimate 64-bit from XP 32-bit. What should I be ready to change/fix/do after it's done installing?

You need admin rights to write to that folder, which is why you are getting prompts on games. The only thing that belongs in that folder are static program files. Configuration files, settings, savegames, profiles and stuff like that has no place there. Very few game devs seem to grasp that, sadly, but it's easy to get around: Just install your games somewhere else.
