Spore Patch 1.03 Released, Adds 24 New Limbs

A new patch for EA Maxis' Spore is now available to download from FileShack. The update resolves a few bugs and adds 24 free exoskeleton limbs for enhanced creature creation, bringing the PC lifeform management game up to v1.03 in the process.

Bug Fixes

Fix for esc key not bringing up Options in Galaxy Game Entry
Fix for creator backgrounds appearing on small sporepedia cards
Update to help keep achievements on the server in sync with achievements in the game

  The same thing happened to me. I renamed it and added .ece on the end and that seemed to work. : samaelsmith

what was the deal with this game? I remember reading that the real selling point of this game was removed during the development process. Unfortunately, i can't recall what it was, but i think it had something to do with procedural animation and how each spore created couldn't be identical to another.
