Fallout 3 PC System Requirements Released

With Fallout 3 (PC, PS3, 360) now complete and in the manufacturing stages, developer Bethesda has released the minimum and suggested system requirements for the PC version of the post-apocalyptic role-playing game, which arrives October 28.

Minimum System Requirements

Windows XP/Vista
1GB System RAM (XP) / 2GB System RAM (Vista)
2.4 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor
Direct X 9.0c compliant videocard with 256MB RAM (NVIDIA 6800 or better / ATI X850 or better)

Recommended System Requirements:

Intel Core 2 Duo processor
2 GB System RAM
Direct X 9.0c compliant video card with 512MB RAM (NVIDIA 8800 series, ATI 3800 series)

I NEED HELP SELECTING A VIDEO CARD... i was never much of a gamer so my video card was never really designed to handle this type of game but I play fallout 1 and 2 to this day and want to play 3 badly....Due to what i can afford plus the expandabilty of my desktop and power supply... i can only buy a 256mb card (i know the game will barely run but whatever)..basicly i have a choice of these not so great cards....please help me select one..

GeForce 8400GS 256MB DDR2 DM
ATI Radeon HD2400 PRO 256 MB DDR2
Radeon Xstasy X1300 256 MB PCIe
256 MB Radeon X2600 XT Video Card

I have an imac, with a 2.4 ghz core 2 duo, 4 gigs of ram, dual booted. The card is a HD 2600 pro 512 ram.

would you opt for the ps3 or PC version?

I know it will prob play better on the PC, but not sure if its jut going to run like shit with my video card.

Nice, looks like the system I built late last year should hold up nicely :)

Vistax64 Business pro, C2Quad, Abit IP35pro, 8gb ram, Bfg nvda 8800ultra OC, sb x-fi titanium pci-e, dual 150gb raptor x's in raid 0.
