Blood Bowl Media Shows Fantasy Football

by Aaron Linde, Jun 25, 2008 1:16pm PDT

Publisher Focus Home Interactive has released a new trailer and screenshots of Cyanide Studio's fantasy-inspired football title Blood Bowl.

Based on Games Workshop's board game of the same name, Blood Bowl will support both real-time and turn-based play. The game is expected to hit PC and Xbox 360 later this year, with Nintendo DS and PSP editions arriving later.

  • Wow, what a decade can do for a franchise.

I bought the original PC version of Blood Bowl back in 95, after checking out the rules for the tabletop game. It sounded like fun. No matter what I did though, I couldn't get the disc to read to do an install, or there was another bug (DOS4GW issue I think). I swapped it at the store 3 times before giving up and using the credit to pick up Full Throttle.
I checked out a cracked version of the game and it wasn't bad, but was buggy as hell.
So I was still left wanting the opportunity to see it done well.
It looks like I just needed patience.
