First Gothic 3 Expansion Media Stars Dinosaur

Two years after Piranha Bytes' action-RPG Gothic 3 hit PCs, publisher and property owner JoWood has issued the first screenshots from the game's first expansion.

Titled Forsaken Gods, the expansion pack is due out this fall and is said to "guarantee a seamless step to Gothic 4." The publisher has yet to reveal the add-on's developer, but Spellbound Entertainment has been tasked with the fourth Gothic game, Arcania.

I never played Gothic 3, was it any good? At the time it came out I remember a friend telling me it was just a lamer version of Oblivion, but the dinosaur peaked my interest. ;)

this is the same engine as was used in Gothic 3, from the looks of it. Hopefully they improved upon it, though. I still have hopes yet...
