Busy day it would seem! In terms of Team Fortress 2, We managed to meet the Sniper which was pretty cool, then got exact word of the new toys and achievements for the Pyro. Stardock relaunched their online store, EA said they had been torturing developers and game designer Warren Spector predicts shorter games. Heck, Nintendo even said they'll do something about the storage issue, neeee-eeerd and Sony came out with hard plans for firmware updates and faux-achievements. Plus we've got a new Shack Contest!

Fuck, so I decided to get a bigger case and moved all my shit into it. Upon bootup I get hal.dll missing or corrupt, which is bullshit but whatever. I checked the bios and it's booting from the correct drive.

I tried to reboot a few times and always the hal.dll error. I booted to a boot disc and had a look around. Hal.dll is sitting there right where it should be in /windows/system32, so okay. I then took the hal.dll from another xp machine and replaced it, but got the same error message. Ally my data is intact on all my drives.

Suddenly, for no reason, during boot it now proceeds to "last known good config" screen, which I selected, but it just hangs. I then tried to boot into safe mode but it sits there at mup.sys forever.

I've tried doing a repair install but i get a 7F blue screen every time. This is pissing me off and I'm not sure what to do next. I hate computers.
