Fresh Unreal Tournament 360 Screenshots Drop

13
Publisher Midway has provided some new screenshots from Epic Games' upcoming Xbox 360 edition of the multiplayer-focused shooter Unreal Tournament 3.

Slated to arrive later this summer, the Xbox 360 port will lack mod support, but packs five new maps, two new characters and a new splitscreen mode along with all of the previously released DLC for the PC and PS3 versions.

Sony doesn't write checks for games like mircosoft, or at least they aren't as public about it

Not really, Epic gave MS a system selling blockbuster in Gears so Sony comes up and says "show me some love eh?" and hands over wads of cash. Epic only had one project to supply but it was having a hard time on PS hardware and was supposed to be a simultaneous launch. Sony reaches deeper into their pockets. Epic slobbers and hands them a timed exclusive for UT, pulling the X360 staff off the project to work through the PS3 hangups. The title is released, makes a very small splash on both PS3 and PC, and the devs go back to the X360 version and add the sort of spit and polish needed to move a few units. None of it matters to Epic as their true cash cow is Gears 2 which is on track for fall release to a much larger user base than there was for the original. Epic wins again.
