New Square Franchise Last Remnant Hits 360 First, Arriving Worldwide This Winter
by Chris Faylor, Jun 10, 2008 8:30am PDTSquare Enix has announced that its new RPG franchise The Last Remnant will arrive on Xbox 360 worldwide this winter, with a PlayStation 3 release to follow later on.
Announced over a year ago, the Unreal Engine 3-powered title was previously believed to hit both platforms simultaneously. The Bouncer (PS2) and Unlimited SaGa (PS2) production manager Nobuyuki Ueda is serving as the game's producer.
Along with word of the release plans, Square Enix sent along a few new screenshots.

It's disappointing to see that PS2 was the *best* console for RPGs and PS3 has nothing (other than Oblivion).
At least PS3 will get Final Fantasy XIII, well, whenever that ships...
