An earlier thread had us talking about the impending 4th edition. Cyntax had mentioned a piece of software that runs a server and lets a dm run a tapletop game. https://www.fantasygrounds.com/
I've personally never played D&D; I've played tons of D&D ruleset based games, and have a decent understanding of the working though. I've always wanted to learn or try, but nobody around here plays; a few of my friends have been interested, but I don't think any of us could attempt to DM when we barely know the game. I honestly regret not getting into it though; considering my life revolves around RPGs, MMOs, and writing, it seems like it'd be a fun avenue for me (not to mention the whole Game Design thing)
Anyhow, we got to discussing using something like FantasyGrounds to play some campaigns. I was thinking it would be a good way for people like me who are interested but don't know how to play to finally learn. And obviously the vets can run through their games too.
So if you're at all interested in any of this, post here, lets see what we can do!
