New Xbox Originals Downloads: Stubbs, Gauntlet

The Xbox editions of Stubbs the Zombie and Gauntlet: Seven Sorrows will be downloadable from the Xbox 360's online Marketplace next Monday, May 19, Xbox Live director of programming Larry "Major Nelson" Hyrb announced today.

Developed by Halo creator Alex Seropian and his crew at Wideload Games, Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse and its third-person perspective lets one or two players attempt to overrun a pristine utopia with zombie minions. Brains!

Midway's Gaunlet: Seven Sorrows, meanwhile, continues in the series' rich tradition of multiplayer-oriented action-RPG, er, action.

As with past releases in the Xbox Originals catalog--including Metal Arms, Ninja Gaiden Black, Halo and Psychonauts--each game will be priced at 1200 Microsoft Points ($15)

I would buy some of these but since Microsoft decided 20 gigs was enough for everyone I don't have enough room.

      You can't free up 2-4gb?

Which makes me wonder.....at what price would the 120GB drive start looking attractive? $180 is of course completely overpriced, but how much cheaper would it have to be before you'd pick one up?

I would say $50 is reasonable. It's a laptop HDD enclosed in it isn't it?

Except that a bare 120GB laptop drive costs $60+ dollars retail. And while I'm sure MS would get them at a discount, I certainly don't expect them to pass that savings along.

But market price for the drive certainly would be more reasonable than > $1 per GB.
