Evening Reading

"Bow down to the thrasher," Aaron Linde just told me. Not really sure what's going on with that, but I hear he's been having some problems with creepy crawly spiders lately.

By the by, make sure you folks play it safe this weekend. Remember, one in four!

Meanwhile, a look at today's events in video game land:

Chris Faylor was previously a games journalist creating content at Shacknews.

never played them, and never owned a PS2...

I've always wondered if I missed anything good on the PS2, and those are the only two I can think of that aren't the usual OMG YOU NEED TO PLAY MGS/RnC/GT...

I may even pickup FF whatever number they're on... I haven't really played a FF game since VII, it all either looked like shit or more of the same.

lol. ok. i'll let it slide this time :P

but seriously, are there any brews out already for the PS3? it seems pretty capable as is. i can see wanting to enable external HDDs if that's not already part of it. but that's about it

You can natively install linux on the PS3. Sony has limited access to only a couple cores and no GPU access while running linux so it's pretty slow. DVD quality divx files play OK but any HD content isn't playable through linux.

The lack of ram is what really kills Linux. You can't do shit with only 256MB :(
