First Screenshots from DICE's Mirror's Edge Released
by Chris Remo, Jan 10, 2008 1:44pm PSTStockholm-based EA DICE, the studio responsible for the successful Battlefield franchise, has released the first screenshots from its upcoming sandbox action game Mirror's Edge, announced last July and said to draw from the rooftop-jumping sport of parkour. (Update: They can be found at the On Mirror's Edge fansite.)
The screenshots depict a dense urban landscape rendered in a high-contrast, painterly style that Shacknews' Jeff Gondek described as "almost Sid Mead-esque."
When the game was announced, senior producer Owen O'Brien said, "We want to enable the player to move like a real person, with the ability to run, jump, vault and slide in a way that has never been seen before." Mirror's Edge is expected to ship for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 some time in 2008.

I HATE jumping puzzles in FPS games, how is this going to work?
I am very interested in this game, mainly because I want to see how they pull this off.
