So basically tanks and helicopters are now completely unstoppable, because you can't even take cover from them. Oh, and the entire level will be destroyed within 5 minutes, also ruining all cover.

Thanks DICE, sounds like a lot of fun for infantry :(

Notice that not once in that video do they keep the video rolling after the smoke completely clears from the explosion. The destruction is probably precalculated or calculated badly at the moment or something. Either way, this game's published by EA, so not thanks.

So, if I shoot the corner of a multi-story building, then take out the majority of the remaining supporting walls, does it fall on the side with no corner? I'm sensing that nothing "collapses", but rather just explodes into pieces, or leaves big holes.

With all the emphasis on destruction, I hope you don't wind up playing in a paper mache world. Blowing up buildings with tanks is fine, I just don't want it so that you can knife your way through a brick wall in a few swipes. There was a brief shot in the video of a guy knifing his way through a chain link fence which is pretty unrealistic... I hope they pull it back a little bit.

This looks so rad. My main concern is what the map will look like into a longer battle and whether or not buildings will just become tactically useless after a while.

Nice to see Ironsights becoming a standard on all latest war games. Still I find that graphics look like the BF2142 one's (if not worse).

I guess they had to sacrifice eye candy for the destructible stuff or is just the low res of the video. I remember the old days with red faction and its destructible environment. Was a nice gimmick but levels ended full destroyed with no place for cover thanks to the rocket launcher spamfest.

Lets see how it does.
