Devil May Cry 4 PS3 Requires 5 GB Install, Features Achievement-like System

By Chris Faylor, Jan 07, 2008 1:18pm PST The PlayStation 3 version of Capcom's upcoming Devil May Cry 4 (PC, PS3, X360) requires a one-time 5 GB installation before the game can be played, according to PS3 Fanboy.

The PS3 version of the title will also sport an achievement-esque system, in which players can earn awards for their actions, which are then viewable to other DMC4-playing PS3 users. The PS3 version of the game also features the exclusive ability to direct the camera by tilting the system's motion-sensitive Sixaxis controller.

A similar achievement-like system will be part of the Trophy Room in Sony's upcoming Home (PS3) initiative, though it is not yet known if DMC4 will be compatible with that functionality.

All versions of Devil May Cry 4 arrive on February 5, with the console outings accompanied by an optional $80 collector's edition. Xbox 360 and PS3 demos are due out around that time as well.

  • Quit your whining you little bitches :) If you're whorring so much crap on your console that you can't afford 5 gb for a game install then you have issues.

If the game devs want to force you to install the game to the hd because they know it'll run much smoother and have less loading times, why the fuck would you whine about that? I'm sure you'd all whine much more if you they didn't have the preload and you played the game as constant slide show.

Be glad that Sony gives devs this option even. Otherwise we'd be stuck with microsofts stupid system where you can't preload anything and have to put up with constant chugging on real games.

granted, i'd wish they had left it as an option, so all you pansies would realize what the fuck you're bitching about when you say you don't want to install.
