Ninja Gaiden 2 Screens Show Bloody Ninja Action

The first screenshots from the Xbox 360 sequel to Team NINJA's Ninja Gaiden have arrived care of the Japan's official Xbox site. The pictures, which were quickly removed, highlight all sorts of delicious ninja violence, including dismemberment and beheadings. Not pictured are the crimes of passion and shattered controllers that resulted from the original's intense difficulty. Based on the now-absent site listing, Ninja Gaiden 2 will arrive at some point in 2008. More details, including an official announcement, are expected later this week once the Tokyo Game Show gets underway.

Awesome!

I loved Ninja Gaiden on X-box, and this so far looks like more of the same, but better looking and more brutal. Which is exactly what I want. :D

I finished Ninja Gaiden Sigma on the ps3 and was mightily impressed!!! My only concern is that I expected the game to take a quantum leap graphically over Sigma (although it was incredible looking as it is) but this one seems to be based on the same engine and looks kinda similar... :(

A technically amazing game, but I prefer to play games that make me relax and have fun, instead of making me want me to snap the controller in half. I don't have enough time for either the RPG grind or the repeat the boss 30 times to beat him games.

I'm only interested if there is a less hardcore setting this time but I doubt there will be.

Ninja Gaiden had, by far, the best third person melee combat in any game ever. I don't think any game has ever made so proud to be good at it like Ninja Gaiden did.
