Hellgate: London European Subscription Pricing Announced

2
It's been known for months that the optional subscription for Hellgate: London would cost $9.99 a month in North America. The official site now has word that Europeans will be paying €9.99, USD to EUR conversion be damned. UK residents will have to cough up £6.99 a month.

Though anyone can play online, subscribers will receive new content, more game modes and additional character and item slots. Subscribers can also start guilds and use guild and player housing.

Developed by Flagship Studios and co-published by Namco Bandai Games and Electronic Arts, Hellgate: London will be in stores October 31.

I'm still not sure what to think about this game, but I'm pretty sure I'll end up buying it the week it's out. I mean. It's an Action/RPG done by some very talented folks -- but the one video I saw in the last year was a pretty lackluster one.

But, yeah, they still have my money. Probably not for the subscription stuff, though.

Subscription will only pan out if the game is really awesome. It's probably going to go down like other subscription-optional games like Urban Dead (even though that is web based). Only people who are really into it will subscribe. The better the game is the more people will be really into it. If they can get a certain critical mass of subscribers it will probably pan out for them.

When their conversion is USD = EURO, then they can go f..., to a place where the sun don't shine.
      Same with Valve!
