The new Athlon64 X2 6000+ CPU hits the review circuit over at TechReport, AnandTech and AMDZone. The new chip turns in some fairly good numbers but Intel is still ahead of the game these days.

I like how all of these reviews compare the cutting-edge processor to the one released a month ago. Isn't all that informative to those of us with systems bordering on two years old.

Not to nitpick... but I think it's still called the 'Athlon64' Mr. Gibson.

- Maybe its a reference to a switch to the 65nm process. Not sure though. : evilned
- Doh, typo. the 6000+ is a 90nm processor. : evilned
