OHHH HELL YA. Competitive play gets new life.

The bugginess of the game isnt my biggest problem with BF2 - its how DICE completely caters to the OMFG APACHE crowd. There seems to be some sense of entitlement that helos shld not only be easy to fly, but also impervious to any infantry weapon. There is also some sense that infantry should not have any movement and shooting skil. In Americas Army - movement and shooting skill was balanced - in BF2 it has been nerfed out of the game to accomodate all the no skill llamas who whine in the forums.
OK, so DICE wants an FPS game that caters to the talentless - and they demonstrate their complete lack of priority by introducing some ridiculous feature - the vehicle drop - then realize they need to fix it b/c commanders are using it to squash airport campers. How LAME.
Game balance usually boils down to a rock - scissor - paper equation - BF2 has become rock - scissor - OMFG APACHE

1 year too late... in 6 days BF2 is one year old and still isn't really bugfixed. I'm a huge C&C fan, but after seeing what EA does to BF2 (and this is one of EAs most popular games) I'm not sure whether I'm going to buy C&C 3 anymore.

Anyone know if there's a way to see how many people are playing which expansions?

Wow, it seems like they're actually working on some RELEVANT fixes/enhancements AND they're giving us a free map! It's almost too good to be true!

Playing BF2 is like having an abusive husband. You just keep coming back, because you love it even though it hurts you.

Well its finally time, gorramit ! Nice word-play with the cartillary. Unluckily my Version of BF2 seems to be plagued by the CTD Bug, hope the update fixes it.

If I remember the release of FarCry, a really good Shooter and Battlefield2 with all its bugs and patches, you might think Ubisoft/Crysis are doing something better than EA/DICE.

Ahh yes, another BF2 post. Can't wait to hear from all the people bitch about EA/DICE, and announce that they'll never buy another EA/DICE game again. That never gets old, really.

Oh goodness no, he doesn't...that would require more mature sensibilities. Cut him some slack, when you're that young there's not much to do online but troll I guess. :)

So I wonder if this is implying that one could run special forces maps in the same rotation as regular vanilla BF2. The wording of "preventing mod teams from running multiple game modes in one map list" is a little vague.

After taking a hiatus from BF2, 1.3 is surprisingly fun for a change of pace.
