Battlefield 2 Community Update

36

The official Battlefield 2 website has been updated with a new community update. The update talks about the release of the Armored Fury booster pack, while also acknowledging that the game is currently plagued by some frustrating issues. A new patch is in the works, one which will also include a new map called "Road to Jalalabad". Some of the issues that they are looking at are

- Reversion: Allowing unlocks on unranked servers - Fix/Reversion: We fixed the issue preventing mod teams from running multiple game modes in one map list. - Tuning: We have lowered the number of players needed to start a ranked game. - Tuning: We have made some modifications to the vehicle drop feature introduced in 1.3. These changes should reduce the overall impact of "cartillery" on game play. - Crash Fix: We have located and fixed a crash connected to 1.3.
Open beta testing of the patch is expected to occur early July.

Too little, too late, EA. Any faith in your products is forever lost.

Funny, the sales for the booster packs says otherwise.
