- Perfectly accurate down-the-sights shooting
- Special teams in your squad (bazooka, machinegun crew, mortar) leads to total domination and fun destruction of bad guys
- Prone, wall vault, etc. Weaknesses eliminated
- Nesting system so you can connect teams with other teams (or you) so you don't have to do as much "commanding" if you'd rather have guys flock around you while you run-and-gun.
- We still love authentic tactics and those who use them will be rewarded with more domination
- PC version is getting much more attention. Should feel better than before
- Unreal Engine 3 is totally sweet. Next gen is looking really good.

I never got into it, felt too much like a chore to direct two squads.
These shots look nice, but won't make me get into it.

Bia never strived to be a whack-a-mole type game ala the call of duty series. They pushed authenticity in a climate of unrealism and in some cases superheroism. I applaud the BIA developers for being differnt from the rest of the pack in both gameplay and content. You can not request creativity and uniquness from games and then balk when you get it. Squad control has never been done to the degree it's been pushed in the bia series, perhaps you don't enjoy it, but it does thing's other games have "tried and failed" to do for years, true squad physics with far less hassle than any previous iteration.
I for one applaud gearbox for being innovators in their genre and sticking to their status quo. It's a small but vocal minority of detractors that fail to appreciate ingenunity.

also goes to show how important good shadowing is in making graphics look more realistic..that's why I always thought Doom3 looked better than HL2 (don't troll/flame-it's just my opinion...yes D3 was TOO dark, but the shadows were well done & made the world seem more "solid")
