DirecTV To Launch Massive Gaming League
by Maarten Goldstein, Jan 05, 2006 6:58am PSTAs part of their CES activity, satellite television provider DirecTV has announced plans to start the Massive Gaming League which they say will be videogame tournament covered as a sporting event. There will be actual footage from the games, and the competitors will be profiled through interviews and features. No word on what sort of games or platforms the program will focus. The Massive Gaming League will launch this year.
