Here it is, Shackers! DOOM3! As if you guys haven't said enough in the comments, now is your chance to make your opinion official, as certified by The National Board of Shack Game Reviewers. But don't let DOOM3 take the thunder away from the other big releases of the week! Galleon finally arrives (seven years after its announcement) and R63: Black Arrow is out at a slightly-reduced price. As always, if there's a game you want in the database, see if it's already there and if not, request it!

I did something that's totally counteractive as to the rest of the Shack; NOT play DOOM3. Of course, this wasn't by choice. The night before DOOM3, I was putting in a different processor, one that met the game's minimum requirements, and I was completely resigned to the fact that it'd be smarter to hold off on upgrading to a new rig for a few more months. Fate had other ideas and I slipped trying to replace the heatsink, stabbing the motherboard with the screwdriver and slamming my palm on top of the heatsink, thus cracking the processor. I wish I knew who made my HSF so I could recommend NEVER buying from that company because this product is the most ungodly piece of crap I've ever had the displeasure of using. There's literally no way to remove or place it without bending some of the fins.
But I digress; I now have a new system and I spent a good amount of my evening last night taking part in the Great American Dream™: playing DOOM3 at over 60fps.
