GameSpy's Contract J.A.C.K. preview, offering a look at this stand-alone No One Lives Forever 2 expansion pack. In the expansion you play John Jack, a "rugged anti-hero", and according to the preview the game puts more focus on action than stealth. Here's a list of features, and some screenshots are are available as well

NOLF2 is the best support John Carmack could use to argue his ingeniously simple point that the 'use' key is a gimmick. Sorting through files gives a cool spy feeling the first few times around...after that the novelty wears off your just hitting a key and waiting for 10 seconds a lot.

NOLF2 was one of the greatest games I have played. The AI was amazing and I loved how you could get so immersed into the world. Even the guards had personalities and lives. They talked about life and their jobs. And the stealth factor was just awesome. Creative gadgets, funny quirks, and all around great gameplay. I'm suprised the Lithtech engine hasn't been licensed by many people, it's an awesome engine that can compete with the Unreal Warefare engine. I'm looking forward to this game.

I'm hoping this turns out to be pretty good. The idea sounds nice. I like the idea of a "spinoff" type game where its basically an expansion pack but it doesn't have as much content and is cheaper. I don't know how it will go though.

NOLF2 has all the elements of a great game, and I know tons of other people have loved it. I've just never been able to get into it long enough to play... the whole thing feels like it's one gimmick device after another, and I get bored.
