PlanetSide Q&A

And another Q&A..PlanetSideGaming has an interview with PlanetSide producer Dave Georgeson. The PlanetSideGaming guys ask about the challenges the dev team faced while creating the game, if the game was really ready for release, future plans, and the damage caused by Orbital Strikes.

Dave Georgeson: The beauty of an MMO is that we don't have to be done when we release the game.

There you have it folks... the entire philosophy behind MMOs... Release first, patch later.

The difference being that Planetside was fun in the beta, and fun upon release.

The idea is great, but the gameplays pretty boring compared to other shooters.

I was in the beta and despite a few client crashes here and there, it was more stable than other betas I've been in.. a pretty smooth experience

          You were in which beta?

I was in both, and I didn't say anything about stability for either (both were bad originally, though planetside was more ready at the end than SWG IMO). SWG just isn't fun it all...not even remotely. The most fun I've had in SWG is creating the characters.

I was in the PlanetSide beta. I got 0wned by the Reply button (first time I swear!) my post was meant as a reply to #1

I came in the last month of the beta and I really loved it. I actually thought about buying it, but I just don't have any time for gaming ATM.
